About the role
We are looking for a Program Field Specialist to support our low-income energy efficiency program. Field Specialists ensure smooth, high-quality delivery of energy efficiency services to income-qualified customers, both in the field and in coordination with internal teams, while adhering to program guidelines and safety standards. This role is client- and customer-facing, working directly with low-income households, community partners, and trade allies to deliver energy savings and improve home comfort and safety. Successful candidates will reside in Mississippi or Louisiana.
Responsibilities
- Oversee contractor network who deliver in-home energy assessments and audits for low-income customers, identifying eligible energy efficiency and weatherization measures.
- Oversee installation of energy-saving measures (e.g., weatherstripping, water-saving devices, duct and air sealing) in customer homes.
- Educate customers on energy efficiency, safety, and available program benefits in a respectful, culturally responsive manner.
- Manage field data collection and documentation, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with program and contract requirements.
- Coordinate with community action agencies, trade allies, and internal teams to schedule visits and track project timelines.
- Ensure all field work meets quality, health, and safety standards, including proper use of testing equipment.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of relevant field, construction, HVAC, or energy efficiency experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications (BPI, HERS, etc.) a plus.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to customer homes.
- If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship or support.

Pay
Targeted compensation: $55,000 - $60,000. Compensation range: $48,800 - $66,300 USD.
