About the role

The Program Specialist role at KinderCare Learning Companies involves developing and leading programs based on the company's unique curriculum in classrooms. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, customer service abilities, and the ability to support both teachers and parents.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the implementation and effectiveness of the world-class curriculum in classrooms
  • Lead and educate children, and mentor and model teaching practices for teachers
  • Work closely with parents to provide the best care and education for their children
  • Train, motivate, and lead staff members
  • Assist center management with teacher interviews and hiring
  • Partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and operations

Requirements

  • Ability to build relationships with families and coworkers
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Approved State Trainer (preferred)
  • NAEYC/NAC, and state licensing knowledge (preferred)
  • Meet state-specific guidelines for the role
  • Physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
  • Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
  • Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English
