About the role

The Program Specialist role at KinderCare Learning Companies involves developing and leading programs based on our unique curriculum in classrooms. You'll ensure the curriculum is implemented effectively, educate children, mentor teachers, and support center staff.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the world-class curriculum is presented as intended and teachers can speak to its implementation
  • Spend 75% of your time in the classroom, educating children and mentoring teachers
  • Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children
  • Train, motivate, and lead staff, assisting with interviewing and hiring
  • Support center success by collaborating with staff and leadership on enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives

Requirements

  • Ability to build relationships with families and coworkers
  • Create a dynamic environment where play and discovery are encouraged
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Approved State Trainer (preferred)
  • NAEYC/NAC, and state licensing knowledge (preferred)
  • Meet state-specific guidelines for the role
  • Physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
  • Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
  • Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English

Pay

Range of pay: $20.15 - $25.45 hourly. In the state of Minnesota, an additional $3.00 per hour premium is provided on all classroom hours worked through the Minnesota Great Start Grant Compensation Support Program.

Schedule

Our schedule varies depending on the location and position, but typically includes a mix of full-time and part-time roles.
