About the role
The Program Specialist role at KinderCare Learning Companies involves developing and leading programs based on the company's world-class curriculum in classrooms. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, customer service abilities, and the ability to mentor and train teachers.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the curriculum is implemented effectively and teachers can articulate its content and educational outcomes
- Spending 75% of your time in the classroom, engaging with children and providing guidance to teachers
- Collaborate with parents to provide the best care and education for their children
- Train, motivate, and lead staff members, assisting with teacher interviews and hiring
- Support center management in achieving goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives
Requirements
- Ability to build relationships with families and coworkers, creating an environment that encourages play and discovery
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Approved State Trainer (preferred)
- NAEYC/NAC, and state licensing knowledge (preferred)
- Meet state-specific guidelines for the role
- Physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
- Able to assume postures allowing physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with them
- Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English

Pay
Range of pay: $21.95 - $27.70 hourly. In the state of Minnesota, there is an additional $3.00 per hour premium on all classroom hours worked, funded through the Minnesota Great Start Grant Compensation Support Program.
