Job Responsibilities
- B.S. degree in engineering discipline (required).
- Experience in the Automotive Industry or another assembly related field (preferred).
- Past work in manufacturing operations in an engineering or technical capacity.
- Preferred 3-5 years of assembly manufacturing engineering experience.
- Preferred Maintenance planning and supervision experience.
- Must be computer skilled in a variety of common business and engineering applications and able to learn new applications quickly.
- Competent in use of Auto-Cad.
- Preferred experience with robotics.
- Must be able to provide statements of work and effectively communicate with and manage equipment suppliers.
- Able to assume supervisory duties and be effective at performing tasks through others.
- Develop manufacturing processes for new product/programs (specify assembly equipment, establish process flow, estimate labor requirements, develop work instructions, design and implement error proofing, etc.).
- Prepare quote and other customer required submissions.
- Establish production floor layouts that promote lean manufacturing concepts and effective usage of space.
- Capture department responsibilities for launches of new programs.
- Provide leadership and audit the process for manufacturing effectiveness and quality.
- Represent Nascote at assembly plants for problem evaluation or during launches.
- Represent Nascote at vendor shops to validate machines prior to delivery.
- Investigate process problems using the 8D or similar problem-solving methodologies. Lead teams to effective solutions.
- Periodically re-evaluate assembly processes for improved throughput, labor utilization, and quality.
- Prepare Engineering Change documents and follow up as the changes move through departments.
- Determines facility and maintenance project requirements.
- Leads Maintenance team and coordinates daily maintenance activities.
- Plans and coordinates new line equipment installation and relocation and building additions.
- Utilize effective communication skills.
- Work various shifts, overtime, and weekends when required.
- Mentor entry level Assembly Manufacturing Engineers.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in engineering discipline (required).
- Experience in the Automotive Industry or another assembly related field (preferred).
- 3-5 years of assembly manufacturing engineering experience (preferred).
- Experience with robotics (preferred).
- Computer skills in a variety of common business and engineering applications (must be able to learn new applications quickly).
- Competent in use of Auto-Cad (preferred).
- Experience with maintenance planning and supervision (preferred).

- Knowledge of AIAG "Core Tools" (determined facility and maintenance project requirements).
- Leadership and audit the process for manufacturing effectiveness and quality (represent Nascote at assembly plants for problem evaluation or during launches).
- Represent Nascote at vendor shops to validate machines prior to delivery (investigate process problems using the 8D or similar problem-solving methodologies).
