Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level technical and operational support at the program site, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational objectives.
- Interface with operational, engineering, and program management teams to maintain mission readiness and optimize site-level performance.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of NSDC organization, processes, and procedures to support operational and engineering activities.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of JSpOC/USV organization, processes, and procedures to enable effective site operations.
- Support strategic and operational-level planning and development of Concepts of Operations (CONOPs).
- Provide technical guidance and engineering expertise to ensure site systems and operations are mission-ready.
- Cook up coordination with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve operational and technical issues at the site level.
- Identify technical and operational risks and provide recommendations for mitigation to senior leadership.
- Prepare and deliver technical briefings, operational assessments, and decision-support materials.
- Represent the program office in site-level engineering, operations, and planning meetings.
Qualifications
- Highly knowledgeable in NSDC and JSpOC/USV organizational structures, processes, and procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic and operational-level planning and CONOPs development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of briefing senior leadership on site-level operational and technical matters.
- Experience working in SAPF/SCIF environments preferred.
Desired Requirements
- Experience supporting ACAT I/II or highly classified programs in a joint or operational environment.
- Familiarity with DoD operational and engineering standards, joint mission planning processes, and site-level engineering practices.
- Experience with operational planning tools, engineering documentation systems, or mission monitoring platforms.
Education Requirements
- MA/MS degree preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree is acceptable with 12+ years of relevant experience in similar programs or positions.
- The Materiel Leader may waive the MA/MS requirement based on experience and mission needs.
- Degree should be in engineering, operations, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
Clearance Requirements
- Active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility required.
- Must be willing to work in SAP environments as needed.
- Must maintain TS/SCI eligibility and be willing to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
Location/Travel Requirements
- Full-time on-site support within secure government facilities (SAPF/SCIF).
- Approximately 15–20% CONUS travel, with potential for limited OCONUS travel depending on mission needs.
Pay Range
The pay range for this position in Colorado Springs is $145,000/year to $180,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract wages, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
