Program Security Officer
Perform a wide range of functions to ensure the protection of government-sensitive and classified information. Apply advanced consulting and extensive technical expertise to develop innovative solutions to complex problems while ensuring organizational compliance with DoD security requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage administrative activities for security clearances for the organization's employees.
- Ensure the security of restricted access facilities and sensitive records.
- Advise management on pertinent security issues.
- Analyze the development and implementation of key programs or processes for the organization.
- Work without considerable direction; mentor and supervise team members as needed.
- Implement security procedures in compliance with Intelligence Community Directives and government policies, including ICD705.
- Conduct classification management and review, including working with Special Access Program (SAP) information.
- Perform SIC or JADE account lookups and creations.
- Conduct indoctrinations, briefs, or debriefs.
- Write Standards of Procedures (SOPs) and review program security plans and SOPs for programs.
- Interpret, apply, and comply with Security Classification Guides (SCGs).
- Handle accreditation processing, Fixed Facility Checklists, Co-Use Agreements, and Emergency Action Plans.
- Submit accesses for SAPs and maintain SAP training and records.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the DoD or intelligence community.
- Experience with guidance and directives, including DoD, DCID, ICD, JAFAN, NISPOM, and Security Classification Regulations.
- Experience in classification management and review, working with Special Access Program (SAP) information, and dealing with SIC or JADE account lookups and creations.
- Knowledge of Information Security, PERSEC, and Physical Security.
- Knowledge of accreditation processing, Fixed Facility Checklists, Co-Use Agreements, and Emergency Action Plans.
- Ability to interpret, apply, and comply with Security Classification Guides (SCGs).
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
- Bachelor’s degree and 11+ years of experience in distinct functional or cross-functional security areas (personnel, physical, industrial security, computer investigations, classification management, operational security, or security education), or 19+ years of such experience in lieu of a degree.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (preferred).
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph (preferred).
- Ability to obtain a DoD Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) certification within 12 months of start date (preferred).

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements.

Work models may include remote, hybrid, or onsite expectations:
- Remote: Generally virtual, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
- Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer facilities as required by the role.
- Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, collaborating directly with colleagues and customers.
Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
