About the role
The Program Resource Coordinator supports curriculum management, resource oversight, and teacher/student access to materials at The Vanguard School. This 12-month, non-exempt position assists with standardized testing, professional development, record keeping, purchasing, and general administrative support for school directors, including during the extended school year program.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with administrators and staff in the continuous curriculum revision cycle of evaluation, implementation, and development.
- Participate in the adoption of new curriculum by assisting in research, coordination, ordering, preparation, and dissemination of curricular materials.
- Coordinate and assist with various departments to ensure staff and students have access to necessary resources and materials.
- Purchase and oversee the receipt of equipment and supplies; coordinate with outside vendors and the internal business office for large/bulk orders.
- Barcode and catalog all curriculum, materials, and resources for the school.
- Work with technology staff to maintain and update online resources.
- Maintain and audit the school-wide resources management system.
- Research and provide electronic access to subject materials and enrichment activities for teacher use across all grade levels.
- Coordinate with teaching staff to ensure classrooms have the correct materials and supplies based on student need and ability.
- Schedule, coordinate, and assist in the implementation of standardized tests and other norm-referenced curriculum initiatives.
- Schedule, coordinate, and assist in the facilitation of professional development supporting curriculum and instruction.
- Maintain and update professional development records using various software and applications.
- Assist in curriculum development and programming for the extended school year (ESY); manage an online tracking system.
- Assist with other administrative duties and program operations as required.
- Plan and coordinate school-wide events and activities, including assemblies, special events, and picture day.
- Maintain confidentiality of all organizational, program, student, parent, staff, client, donor, and board information.
- Maintain professional, confidential, and ethical relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, in-service meetings, and other required meetings.
- Perform related duties, special assignments, and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years’ administrative experience in an educational setting.
- Proficient use of technology and software applications.
- Excellent organizational skills, including managing multiple changing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and knowledge of correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
- Ability to engage intellectually and physically in all components of the work process.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with administrators, colleagues, students, parents, volunteers, and others.
