Program Project Manager

Job Summary

GKN is seeking a Program Manager for our Alabama account. This person will manage and lead the project(s) throughout its duration. The role will take responsibility for open NPIs ("New Product Implementation") within the Alabama Engines account and bring the products through Lifecycle gate 7.0 with close collaboration of the NPI team. The PPM reports to the Site Operations Director as part of the IPT and is a member of the Operations Management team.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the execution of the Project within time, quality, budget and must comply with all contractual requirements.
• Secure a successful transition of NPI Project’s from inception through development until product is delivered to the customer.
• Report on a variety of applicable KPI’s for each project such as schedule, cash flow and working capital targets.
• Support the Program Director (PD) with improvement plans, affordability initiatives, and monitor the progress to achieve the plan.
• Define the vision, strategy, objectives, operational plan and budget for their account to optimize productivity, producibility, cash flow, profitability and growth.
• Ensure deployment of the project management standards in the program team.
• Assess project risk through appropriate risk mitigations tools and execute them to plan.
• Makes the required arrangements to enable the success of the project.
• Adheres to all program/project management standards and policies in accordance with the GKN Aerospace Program Management framework and contributes to process development.
• Responsible for planning and performance of Life Cycle Gates.
• Take ownership of the Project Management tools in use and ensures adherence at all times.
• Responsible for undertaking any other activity required to ensure successful delivery of the Program/Project.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field of study.
• Minimum of five years of relevant business experience practicing the fundamentals of Program/Project Management, Finance and LEAN principles.
• Must be a US Citizen to meet export control compliance requirements.
