Program/Project Management Lead

About the role

The Program/Project Management Lead oversees complex projects involving a multidisciplinary team of data engineers and technical targeters. Key responsibilities include establishing and implementing technical requirements, managing project finances, and providing regular updates to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with customers to establish and implement technical requirements
• Drive IT modernization efforts
• Manage project financials and forecast costs accurately
• Regularly communicate with stakeholders about project scope, schedules, and potential risks
• Generate weekly progress reports, conduct monthly contract status reviews, and lead program management meetings
• Produce ad hoc reports for clients as needed

Requirements

• 8 to 10+ years of experience in project and program management
• Experience leading a multidisciplinary team, particularly a team of data engineers and technical targeters
• Familiarity with leading IT modernization efforts
• Cost forecasting experience
• Experience working with customers to establish and implement requirements and communicating with customers regarding scope, schedule, and risks
• Managing project financials, generating recurring reports, conducting recurring contract status reviews, and running recurring program management reviews
• Producing ad hoc reports for clients

Bonus points

• Bachelor's degree
• PMP or similar project management certification
• Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies
• Experience with government or large enterprise contracts
• Familiarity with data engineering best practices
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira)
• Strong risk management skills

Pay

The base pay range for this position in the specified locations is $120,700 - $254,000 USD.
