PROGRAM MGR - INPATIENT SERVICES MILITARY UNIT

Position Summary

The Program Manager oversees the provision and delivery of patient care on the unit, providing direct care to patients and ensuring each patient’s individual needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned unit staff.
• Provide training and guidance to therapists and interns.
• Manage the day‑to‑day unit schedule and activities.
• Contribute to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational, and quality‑improvement efforts.
• Ensure the unit complies with established standards of care, mental‑health practice, facility policy, goals, and objectives.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s Degree specializing in Counseling or Social Work related field.
• Experience: Two (2) years of experience in a psychiatric health‑care facility preferred.
• Licensure: Current LPC, LPC‑A, LMSW, LCSW, license issued by the State of Texas.
• Additional Requirements: Completion of Management of Aggressive Behavior training within 90 days of employment; thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission/HCFA, OSHA, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
