Program Managers (Hybrid)

About the role

The Program Manager oversees the implementation, operations, and quality of multiple school-based academic programs. This hybrid role combines program management, staff supervision, relationship building, and operational coordination to ensure successful program delivery. Program Managers serve as the primary liaison between partner schools, instructional staff, and SmartStart leadership while supporting tutors, teachers, and coordinators to improve student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of leadership or program coordination experience in an educational setting.
• Experience working with K–12 schools, tutoring programs, or educational initiatives.
• Strong relationship management skills with school leaders and administrators.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of urban education systems and educational equity.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Able to travel frequently between assigned school locations.

Requirements

• Manage the daily operations of multiple school-based academic programs.
• Maintain instructional quality and ensure curriculum implementation.
• Serve as the primary contact between schools, instructional staff, and company leadership.
• Conduct regular on-site visits to monitor program performance and resolve operational issues.
• Supervise tutors, teachers, and program coordinators.
• Provide coaching, professional development, and performance feedback to staff.
• Cook up onboarding and training for new employees.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with school administrators and stakeholders.
• Attend meetings with school partners to discuss program performance and improvements.
• Coordinate onboarding and training for new employees.
• Oversee scheduling, staffing, attendance, and other operational logistics.
• Maintain accurate program documentation and reporting.
• Travel to partner schools four days per week and work remotely one day per week.
• Perform additional program-related duties as assigned.

Pay

Competitive annual salary of $40,000–$45,000.

Schedule

Hybrid work schedule (4 days onsite, 1 day remote).
