About the role

Join our mission to make Amazon the global benchmark for safety excellence. We are looking for a results-driven and innovative Program Manager to support the end-to-end product lifecycle for Amazon’s safety management system. You will contribute to goal-setting, intake, prioritization, requirements gathering, launch, and training support for the Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) organization. You will collaborate closely with customers and stakeholders to develop and launch effective solutions addressing their needs, and design effective communication mechanisms to keep stakeholders informed about priorities, progress, risks, and strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Vision: Contribute to the strategy and roadmap for Amazon’s safety management system, ensuring alignment with customer needs and organizational goals.
  • Stakeholder and Customer Engagement: Manage stakeholder relationships across functions, effectively communicating vision and progress. Dive deep into customer feedback to understand pain points and drive solutions that meet their needs.
  • Operational Excellence and Change Management: Implement effective change management strategies for product launches and iterations. Maintain high standards for operational excellence, ensuring efficient processes and clear communication channels.
  • Performance Measurement and Quality Assurance: Use high judgment to test assumptions and validate product directions. Establish metrics to measure success and ensure continuous improvement based on quantitative and qualitative feedback.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Technical Product and Program Managers, engineering teams, and other cross-functional partners to ensure products are delivered with the right feature set and high quality, leveraging strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure alignment and collaboration.

A day in the life: On the Data Tech Systems (DTS) team, you keep the customer's voice at the center of everything we build for Amazon's safety management systems. You'll triage incoming intake requests — validating problems raised by WHS Program teams and deciding what merits a deep-dive. You'll author business requirements, translating customer pain points into clear specifications, and dive into data to build the evidence behind your recommendations. You'll align stakeholders and Leadership on priorities or trade-offs, partner with our AFT tech team through development, and facilitate user acceptance testing before launch. You'll close the loop through training, communications, and iterative improvement.
