About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Artificial Intelligence Program Manager to support AI initiatives and inform executive strategy for this high-profile program area. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical knowledge, project and program management skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to effectively introduce changes to business users. They will also possess a keen strategic understanding of the application of AI technology to meet business needs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the cross-sectional portfolio of initiatives driving AI adoption into operational areas at TxDOT.
- Collaborate with ITD teams and external partners to understand business needs, focusing on the customer to ensure their understanding of the implementation and usage of solutions.
- Support ITD teams to develop and implement strategies to enhance organizational efficiency with AI technologies while ensuring effective governance and risk evaluation.
- Foster cross-team collaboration for TxDOT ITD specialists (such as Applications, Infrastructure, Change Management, etc.), providing guidance and support to achieve project and organizational goals.
- Generate regular reports on program areas, projects, and initiatives, highlighting key milestones and deliverables.
Requirements
- PMP certification.
- Knowledge of AWS/Azure/Google products including Copilot, Bedrock, SageMaker, Foundry, Gemini, and UiPath.
- Level 3: 8+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in information management, computer science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical program delivery.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of AWS/Azure/Google products including Copilot, Bedrock, SageMaker, Foundry, Gemini, and UiPath.
- Project Management: Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., PMP, Agile).
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
