Responsibilities
- Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports
- Oversee and manage program marketing and communications
- Manage program databases
- Supervise program staff
- Plan research activities
- Cook up and manage program events
- Participate in strategic planning
- Manage program files
- Establish program standards and objectives
- Direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs
- Develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met
- Oversee program budget
- Ensure goals and objectives of grants are met
- Aid in proposal writing
- Comply and analyze program statistics
Major/Essential Functions
Oversee the development, implementation, and day-to-day operations of the Texas Rural Hospital Officers Academy to provide professional development for rural hospital executives. Coordinate with faculty and subject matter experts to garner presenters, develop curriculum, program materials, and create educational activities for the Academy. Support marketing and outreach efforts to help build relationships and promote awareness of the Academy to elicit applicants. Responsible for compliance and timely processing of travel reimbursement for presenters and participants. Develop event plans for the Academy and host the event. Accountable for applicant screening, enrollment, and tracking, along with developing a process to maintain an Academy alumni network. Develop work plans, track data, outcomes, budgets, and reporting along with submitting project deliverables as required. Attend conferences, educational events, and/or webinars to stay current on policies, procedures, initiatives, and program requirements to support the Academy, Institute, and Rural Affairs. Work to develop strategies for program sustainability for the Academy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience managing or supporting program operations OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal eight (8) years
- Previous experience in rural health, healthcare finance/administration, educational programs, or related settings
- Skilled at engaging effectively and developing internal and external partners
- Experience with implementing and developing new programs
- Experience with curriculum development
- Demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders, funding organizations, and strict compliance guidelines
- Master’s degree preferred
- Working knowledge of rural health systems, preferably within Texas or similar underserved regions
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in rural health, healthcare finance/administration, educational programs, or related settings

Pay
