Program Manager - Technical Services
About the Role
McKinstry is innovating the waste and climate harm out of the built environment, addressing the climate, affordability, and equity crises through renewables, energy services, engineering, design, construction, and facility services. We’re seeking a Program Manager to join our growing Technical Services Southeast division, guiding a dynamic team of building consultants and supporting projects in the southeast region and mid-Atlantic.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical leader in facility condition assessments, preventative maintenance planning, existing building commissioning, new construction commissioning, and active energy management (MBCx and Data Analytics).
- Provide technical support and guidance on projects related to facilities management, energy efficiency, and commissioning.
- Determine project approach and staffing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Drive excellence in project delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction and financial targets.
- Act as a key point of contact for business development, developing customer solutions, and presenting technical expertise during client meetings.
- Support scope development, pricing, proposal review, and project risk management.
- Serve as a technical leader in consulting and energy efficiency solutions, providing quality control and assurance.
- Review and optimize internal processes and tools to increase efficiency and quality.
- Train junior engineers in technical concepts such as building operations, HVAC system design, and energy conservation measures.
Requirements
- Engineering/STEM Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Highly proficient in facility operations and/or HVAC systems.
- Experience presenting to clients and key decision-makers.
- Ability to read and understand construction documents (drawings, specifications, controls sequences, etc.).
- Proficient in communication, teaming, and internal/external interactions.
Qualifications
- Experience working with Building Automation Systems preferred.
- Credentials in engineering or building management (PE, FMP, CFM, LEED AP, etc.) preferred.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $102,780 - $162,830 per year. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
