About the Role
Provide administrative direction to an assigned program, including managing and coordinating financial development and administration, special programs such as speakers and lecturers' programs, publications, and special conferences or events to ensure fulfillment of program objectives.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and participate in meetings with faculty members to determine program/center objectives and identify internal and external resources to meet those objectives.
- Develop and implement program protocol, procedures, and operating policies.
- Prepare applications for grants and contracts, including budget development; administer departmental grants and contracts in accordance with University policies and sponsors' requirements.
- Coordinate arrangements for special programs such as speaker series, including inviting speakers, arranging schedules, facilities, publicity, and financial arrangements.
- Prepare brochures, bulletins, and other publications to describe the program's academic goals and events; develop and implement communications vehicles like newsletters, including compiling news and educational articles, writing and editing text, and coordinating printing and distribution.
- Maintain liaison with outside educational and professional organizations and agencies to explore specialized programs and encourage participation.
- Compile and prepare operational and financial reports and analyses, setting forth progress, adverse trends, and recommendations.
- Correspond with interested students and other universities to provide information about program activities, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- High School Diploma or GED (required). Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
- No license or certification required.
