PROGRAM MANAGER, STUDENT ORGANIZATION CONDUCT AND ACCOUNTABILITY

About the role

The Program Manager for Student Organization Conduct & Accountability leads student organization conduct policies and processes through the Center for Campus Involvement in University Unions. You will administer key conduct policies, conduct impartial investigations, and partner with units to ensure coordinated, legally compliant responses. These units include Student Resolution Resources, the Dean of Students Office, Equity, Civil Rights, and Title IX, Fraternity and Sorority Life, and the Office of General Counsel. You will also develop and implement prevention education, training, and conflict management consultations for student organization leaders and advisors.

Reporting to the Associate Director of the Center for Campus Involvement, this individual contributor role plays a central role in promoting a safe, accountable, and inclusive environment for student organizations across campus. This role may have reporting obligations under Title IX and Clery. Authorization to work in the U.S. is required and applicants will not be sponsored for work visas.

Responsibilities

• Manage the student organization conduct and accountability portfolio, including intake, triage, case coordination, documentation, and follow-up related to alleged organizational misconduct.
• Administer and apply student organization conduct policies and procedures, including the Standards of Conduct and Accountability Procedure Manual, in a fair and student-centered manner.
• Conduct or support impartial reviews of complex student organization matters by gathering information, meeting with involved individuals, reviewing documentation, analyzing information, and preparing written summaries or reports.
• Coordinate with campus partners to support aligned and appropriate responses. These partners include Student Resolution Resources, the Dean of Students Office, Equity, Civil Rights & Title IX, Fraternity and Sorority Life, the Office of General Counsel, Public Safety, and Housing.
• Provide guidance and consultation to students, student organization leaders, advisors, faculty, and staff regarding organizational expectations, conduct processes, conflict resolution options, and available support.
• Develop and deliver education, training, and outreach for student organizations and advisors on topics such as accountability, ethical leadership, hazing prevention, conflict management, and university policy expectations.
• Support prevention and conflict resolution efforts through coaching, facilitated conversations, restorative practices, educational interventions, and other approaches that strengthen organizational culture.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement of student organization accountability practices, including policy review, assessment, use of case management systems, professional development, and participation in relevant committees or working groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 or more years of professional or graduate-level experience in student conduct, investigations, student organizations, conflict resolution, organizational advising, or related fields.
• Experience supporting student organizations or student leaders.
• Experience conducting investigations, including interviewing parties, reviewing evidence, analyzing complex information, and preparing formal reports.

Schedule

Hybrid schedule with days onsite in Ann Arbor, MI.
