Manager of Student Programs

About the role

The Manager of Student Programs at the Big Idea Center (BIC) oversees all core student programming, including competitions, pitch events, and workshops.

Responsibilities

• Planner and executor of all BIC core student programming
• Manages budgets, purchasing arrangements, and award payout processes
• Collaborates with marketing/communications teams for promotional materials and campaigns
• Maintains and updates program management platforms
• Develops and enhances the participant experience
• Supervises one BIC staff member and coordinates student workers
• Manages mentor, judge, and speaker engagement
• Aligns programming with broader BIC strategy
• Coordinates with internal University offices and external community partners

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in program management, event coordination, or a related role
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
• Experience in higher education, familiarity with CRM/project management platforms, and a background in budget management or staff/student worker supervision preferred
