About the role
The Manager of Student Programs at the Big Idea Center (BIC) oversees all core student programming, including competitions, pitch events, and workshops.
Responsibilities
- Planner and executor of all BIC core student programming
- Manages budgets, purchasing arrangements, and award payout processes
- Collaborates with marketing/communications teams for promotional materials and campaigns
- Maintains and updates program management platforms
- Develops and enhances the participant experience
- Supervises one BIC staff member and coordinates student workers
- Manages mentor, judge, and speaker engagement
- Aligns programming with broader BIC strategy
- Coordinates with internal University offices and external community partners
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in program management, event coordination, or a related role
- Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
- Experience in higher education, familiarity with CRM/project management platforms, and a background in budget management or staff/student worker supervision preferred
