Essential Functions
- Responsible for all aspects of a portfolio of strategic ESMP transmission and substation projects from early-stage development to hand off to Project Management Organization (prior to traditional project lifecycle)
- Oversee a cross-functional project team including, System Planning, Engineering, Siting, Real Estate, Legal, Project Management, Engagement, Regulatory Affairs, Environmental Affairs, and other internal stakeholders to establish and organize ongoing development plan
- Ensures that all strategic solutions are vetted in a manner consistent with the Company’s safety and procurement policies and programs
- Works with the appropriate departments to develop schedules and budget of ESMP strategic projects in early-stage development and is responsible for the implementation, prior to execution
- Supports development and documentation of Company Policies related to development and execution of strategic transmission projects addressing items such as feasibility, planning, siting, permitting, construction, etc.
- Focuses on both internal and external collaboration
- Maintains familiarity with current and upcoming Policies and Programs that could facilitate Transmission Development
- Facilitate discussions with key stakeholders to assure alignment and key information exchange to advance Strategic Transmission Projects
- Affords assistance in representing Eversource Transmission on committees, groups, associations, or other efforts consistent with Strategic Projects
- Affords assistance in representing Eversource Transmission at public meetings, regulatory hearings, town hall meetings, and any special meetings that may occur
- Ensures Manager and Director of Strategic Project Development are briefed regularly on the status of job responsibilities for the development of strategic projects and status of action items
Technical Knowledge/Skills
- Project management experience required
- Ability to develop and present reports within the organization
- Strong computer and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple subject matters, such as permitting, engineering, real estate, interconnection, finance, community engagement
- Understanding of onshore development of electric infrastructure projects, such as solar or wind
- Ability to take in multidisciplinary pieces of early-stage project development and make decisions in a timely manner
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences internally and externally
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical (i.e., engineering, environmental, communication, renewable energy), business discipline, related degree or equivalent experience will be considered
- Masters, law, or other advanced qualifications desirable
Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of related experience
- Experience developing competitive infrastructure projects and knowledge of electric transmission and distribution systems preferred
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Driver’s license is required
Working Conditions
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required

- The annual salary range for this position is: $124,130.00-$137,920.00
