Program Manager - Sales Vendor, SMB Advertising

About the role
This role will lead scaled sales and customer-engagement programs supporting small and medium businesses that advertise through TV and Connected TV. The Program Manager will manage internal customer success resources and outsourced vendor teams responsible for lead generation, qualification, support, and advertiser lifecycle engagement. The position involves owning day-to-day vendor performance, establishing and monitoring KPIs, and improving training, scripting, workflows, and quality assurance. Working across Product, Marketing, and Data, this role aims to increase advertiser activation, adoption, retention, satisfaction, and revenue.
Responsibilities
- Own the strategy, execution, and outcomes of outsourced vendor and partner programs across lead generation, qualification, and support, with direct accountability for scaled advertiser revenue through the self-service platform.
- Manage the day-to-day vendor relationship, monitor pre-established KPIs, and ensure outsourced teams deliver against quality, productivity, and conversion targets.
- Oversee vendor training, quality assurance, scripting, call coaching, and product education to support consistent customer interactions and business outcomes.
- Develop and execute customer engagement programs that drive activation, product adoption, retention, and customer satisfaction.
- Define tools and processes that allow internal and external sales and support workflows to scale, including lead outreach, qualification, and CRM handoff.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure support and lead-generation effectiveness; analyze performance data and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
- Communicate customer needs across cross-functional partners to help shape marketing messages and the product roadmap.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and Data teams to align customer-experience strategies and maintain effective feedback loops.
- Coach internal customer success managers and outsourced sales development teams, providing direct performance feedback and reinforcing accountability.
- Balance strategic program development with hands-on operational management, internal meetings, and vendor interactions.
Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) working in digital sales or account management, with a track record of driving business growth and customer retention within the SMB segment.
- Experience in first-line management (1+ years) in sales, account management, or customer success.
- Experience managing outsourced vendor programs for sales, customer service, or customer success.
- Acute understanding of SMB market dynamics, customer needs, buying behaviors, and competitors' SMB product solutions.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing sales, account management, or customer success teams.
- Data-driven and customer-centric leader who aligns strategy and vision to proven customer needs.
- Skilled in change management and process optimization in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.

- Experience managing offshore teams.
- Early career SDR or sales manager experience, preferably with people management.

Pay
The base range for this contract position is $35 - $45 per hour, depending on experience. Pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location, with individual pay based on job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Hybrid in Los Angeles or New York, three days per week; Remote in Texas with monthly travel.
