Program Manager – RN – Bariatric

About the role

The Manager Bariatric position is responsible for the development and ongoing management of the Bariatric Surgery Program at Mease Dunedin Hospital. This includes meeting MBSAQIP Accredited Comprehensive Center requirements, ensuring accreditation is maintained, developing the bariatric budget, and managing staff education and development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a bariatric surgery program that meets MBSAQIP Accredited Comprehensive Center requirements
• Ensure accreditation is obtained and maintained
• Develop and manage the bariatric budget to meet productivity and budget standards
• Act as the primary point of contact for physicians, patients, and the care delivery team
• Develop and maintain bariatric education programs for staff development
• Represent BayCare Bariatric Meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Education and Credentials: Associates in Nursing and Florida RN license OR Bachelor’s Dietitian or related field and Florida Dietitian or Nutrition license

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare administration or related field
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities

• Strong understanding of bariatric surgery and related medical procedures
• Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
