About the role
The Program Manager, Professional Development at Northwestern Medicine plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and evaluating clinical and non-clinical orientation programs and continuous learning opportunities for all caregiver classifications in assigned units/divisions. This role works closely with unit leadership teams to ensure comprehensive training and support for caregivers.
Responsibilities
- Designs, implements, and evaluates clinical and non-clinical orientation programs and continuous learning opportunities for all caregiver classifications in assigned units/divisions.
- Conducts housewide and unit-specific required training to close performance gaps using a data-driven approach.
- Maintains visibility for just-in-time learning facilitation in clinical areas.
- Adheres to ANA Scope and Standards of practice for Nursing Professional Development.
Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree or equivalent.
- Experience managing large, complex projects related to professional development in nursing across Northwestern Medicine's west region.
- Maintain program oversight for the Practice Transition Accreditation Program (PTAP) for nurse residents through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree or equivalent.
- Experience managing large, complex projects related to professional development in nursing across Northwestern Medicine's west region.
