Program Manager (Pax River)

About the Role

SSI is seeking a Program Manager to join our team in support of efforts based in the Patuxent River, MD area. The successful candidate will work across all disciplines supporting fielded missiles programs.

Responsibilities

• Provides engineering, technical, and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development, and implementation for complex systems in the logistics engineering discipline.
• Makes recommendations and advises on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts.
• Performs risk assessments and analysis employing modeling and simulation techniques.
• Assists in the technical planning of work across all disciplines.
• Manages Cost, Schedule, and Performance.
• Manages a team of approximately 20 FTEs.
• Supports business growth for the PAX Area.

Requirements

• MA/MS degree or BA/BS + 2 extra years.
• 7 years of experience performing duties described in the responsibilities.
• NAVAIR and PMA experience is required.
• Must exhibit expert-level communication skills, involving senior levels of leadership both internal and external to SSI.
• Must be able to assess, apply, and recommend improvements to established business processes.
• Must balance priorities to work effectively in a fast-paced program office environment.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook).
• Must be a self-starter and able to lead meetings.
• An active secret-level security clearance is required.
• Applicant should be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
