About the Role
Program Management is responsible for cross-functional management, coordination, and delivery of all projects assigned on time and on budget at a quality level acceptable to both Vitro and external customers. The Program Manager uses the OEM Product Development & Launch Process and ensures successful OEM program launches and projects as assigned by the Director. This includes meeting project timelines, cost, and quality targets to satisfy Vitro management and OEM customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for interaction between Vitro and customer APQP systems, providing the Voice of the Customer while promoting Vitro’s ability to meet customer requirements.
- Utilize internal and external resources to generate program deliverables.
- Communicate weekly/monthly launch status, mitigate risks, and ensure successful launches through Standard Work as outlined in the OEM Product Development & Launch Process.
- Oversee customer product development processes from prototype through program launches to ensure service and quality requirements are met.
- Ensure compliance with all APQP/TS16949 requirements for programs under management.
- Maintain on-time gate review/approval with program scorecard metrics in good standing.
- Successfully transfer program accountability to the responsible manufacturing facility at the final gate review of the launch process.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, or comparable program management experience with large OEM customers.
- A minimum of 3 years of lead experience on successful launches.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to summarize and communicate results clearly and describe risks accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including team leadership, influencing, negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving to keep projects moving forward.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project) and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work without close supervision.
- Strong presentation skills, safety orientation, customer service focus, and results-driven mindset.
- Strong understanding of APQP/TS systems.
