Summary
The Program Manager coordinates supports for people attending or transitioning to day services. They manage a caseload and monitor program quality, client and family satisfaction, fiscal responsibility, and compliance with funding source and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities
- Quality
- Design, implement, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate programs for all assigned individuals supported by Life Unlimited My Day Program.
- Ensure the quality of habilitative support services at the Day Program.
- Develop ISP goals in a timely manner based on input from the person supported, My Day staff, family, other staff, and personal observations.
- Facilitate the Individual Support Plan (ISP) meeting, with the Support Coordinator, according to the desires of the person supported and guardian, when applicable.
- Submit required forms/summaries and monitor program entries in Therap to ensure they are correct and complete (e.g., event reports and monthly summaries to analyze ISP outcome data).
- Safeguard confidentiality, privacy, dignity, safety, health, and civil rights of the people supported and co-workers through education, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Maintain familiarity with and follow Life Unlimited policies and procedures.
- Maintain program records and confidentiality regarding all personnel matters.

- Collaborate on innovative approaches to increase satisfaction with programming for individuals served and their guardians.
- Identify opportunities for program growth based on data.
- Participate in community activities to educate others on available services.
- Serve as a community resource in the area of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
- Financial Success
- Develop schedules for paid staff and volunteers to ensure appropriate coverage to meet financial goals and provide excellent service.
- Participate in staffing morning support in collaboration with other departments.
- Ensure billing is accurate, timely, and supported by appropriate documentation.

- Participate in workshops and training conferences to enhance personal growth and development.
- Provide support staff with sufficient information, training, and resources for successful program implementation.
- Participate in ongoing group and individualized support staff training, evaluation, and development.
- Conduct regularly scheduled communication with staff/volunteers to provide direction, guidance, and oversight.
- Host staff/volunteer meetings as needed to share information and engage in team building.
- Provide inspirational leadership, set operational performance standards, and offer training.
- Maintain current knowledge of agency policies and procedures related to personnel; monitor staff adherence.
- Engage in progressive discipline procedures when needed, including writing performance improvement plans.
- Conduct investigations into allegations of misconduct and provide timely direction and feedback to appropriate authorities.
- Communication
- Enhance public relations for Life Unlimited by representing the agency at community meetings, conferences, and inter-agency collaborations.
- Demonstrate ability to relate effectively with co-workers and guardians; give and receive feedback positively.
- Communicate directly and clearly in verbal and written form.
- Carry a phone to respond to program situations during regular work hours and after hours for emergencies.
- Actively attend and participate in QA, Health Team, Administrative Team, and other required meetings.
- Maintain the ability to effectively and efficiently use computers or mobile devices for data input, access, modification, or output.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
- Office/home environment with noises from individuals supported, appliances, and telephones.
- May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens and/or infectious diseases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or eight years of related experience.
- Must obtain and maintain training and certification in required areas such as Abuse/Neglect, CPR, First Aid, Level I Medication Administration, and Positive Behavior Supports.
- Minimum of one year of supervisory experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients.
- Must obtain a Class E driver’s license during new hire orientation and carry minimum auto insurance coverage as required by law.
- Must receive a seasonal flu vaccination.
Pay
Pay range starts at $50,000, dependent on experience.
