Program Manager, Middle Mile Fleet Management, Strategy and Process
About the role
Amazon's Middle Mile is seeking a detail-oriented, technically skilled, and innovative Program Manager to own the cost optimization and pricing control strategy of the Middle Mile Maintenance Program. This role involves developing and executing cost optimization initiatives, managing pricing agreements with vendors, and driving spend efficiency across Amazon's Middle Mile Fleet. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguous environments, thinks strategically, and executes methodically to deliver high standards while working with minimal guidance.
You will partner with technical teams, manage stakeholders and customers, and drive groundbreaking initiatives in transportation and delivery to raise the customer experience bar. This position requires a high degree of autonomy, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves in a start-up-like environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute cost optimization initiatives for Amazon's Middle Mile Maintenance Program.
- Manage pricing agreements with vendors to drive spend efficiency.
- Partner with technical and non-technical teams to implement process improvements using data and metrics.
- Navigate ambiguous problems, develop solutions, and drive projects forward with minimal guidance.
- Present complex information clearly and concisely to varied audiences.
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while delivering strong results.
Requirements
- 3+ years of program or project management experience.
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups) and SQL.
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
- Experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
- 3+ years of driving process improvements.
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied organizational levels.
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules.

Pay
- USA, AZ, Tempe: $74,200.00 - $129,800.00 USD annually
- USA, TN, Nashville: $66,800.00 - $116,800.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Arlington: $74,200.00 - $129,800.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Bellevue: $82,700.00 - $129,800.00 USD annually
Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
