About the role

Amazon's Middle Mile is looking for a detail-oriented, technically skilled, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Program Manager. In this role, you will own the cost optimization and pricing control strategy of Amazon's Middle Mile Maintenance Program. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience partnering with technical teams, managing stakeholders and customers, handling multiple priorities and deadlines, and delivering strong results.

You will be responsible for developing and executing cost optimization initiatives, managing pricing agreements with vendors, and driving spend efficiency across Amazon Middle Mile Fleet. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, the ability to navigate ambiguous problems, develop solutions, and drive projects forward with minimal guidance. You must think strategically yet execute methodically to deliver to the highest standards.

This position demands excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to varied audiences. You should have a strong entrepreneurial orientation and be willing to roll up your sleeves in a startup-like environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute cost optimization initiatives for Amazon's Middle Mile Maintenance Program.
  • Manage pricing agreements with vendors to drive spend efficiency.
  • Partner with technical and non-technical teams to deliver results.
  • Navigate ambiguous problems and develop solutions with minimal guidance.
  • Communicate complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Drive process improvements using data and metrics.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience.
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups) and SQL.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is as follows:

  • USA, AZ, Tempe: $74,200.00 - $129,800.00 USD annually
  • USA, TN, Nashville: $66,800.00 - $116,800.00 USD annually
  • USA, VA, Arlington: $74,200.00 - $129,800.00 USD annually
  • USA, WA, Bellevue: $82,700.00 - $129,800.00 USD annually

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
