Position Summary

The College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Program Manager, M1/M2 Clinical Curriculum in Boca Raton, FL. The Program Manager oversees the logistical aspects of the Foundations of Medicine (FOM) clinical curriculum and prepares and implements the FOM courses for each academic year. Work collaboratively with the FOM Course Directors to develop processes to improve efficiency and delivery of curriculum content for medical students and faculty.

Summary Of Responsibilities

  • Cook up, develop, and enhance course schedules for the clinical curriculum in collaboration with the FOM Course Directors.
  • Establish priorities, identify action items, and develop timelines while keeping the Directors of the FOM courses informed of the progress on each project.
  • Schedule student and faculty activities and ensure space and teaching resources are available in conjunction with the Office of Medical Education (OME) at FAU.
  • Oversee the curriculum database for all FOM courses, ensuring accurate schedules and timely posting of session materials.
  • Maintain an operating manual for standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate and support faculty development activities, orientations, meetings, and related educational materials.
  • Provide oversight of administrative processes in Workday.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of all resources at all times for Year 1 and Year 2 clinical courses.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.
  • A valid Florida Driver's License required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four years of professional, administrative, operational, management, or related/equivalent experience.
  • A master’s degree.
  • Experience in a higher education institution, medical school, or hospital highly desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of faculty, staff, and students.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential for success in this position.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Exceptional customer service, organizational and time management skills.

Salary

$50,000 - $55,000 Annually.
