Program Manager - Logistics

About the role

The Program Manager will support the Defense Logistics Agency's (DLA) Corpus Christi Army Depot supply chain management efforts. This role involves building and managing a team of supply chain experts, coordinating between various organizations, and developing solutions to parts availability issues.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and train a highly effective team of supply chain experts.
• Manage the supply chain and mitigate parts-related risks/issues.
• Serve as the key liaison with the customer.
• Develop and advocate for solutions to parts availability issues.
• Develop strategies to support customer initiatives in materiel planning and logistics.
• Monitor DLA impact on fleet-wide weapon system readiness and analyze provisioning related degraders.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience building, training, and managing a team.
• Previous experience leading in a cross-functional team environment.
• Previous experience implementing lean and supply chain initiatives.
• Experience in supply management and logistical support functions.
• Broad understanding of the levels of repair philosophies for military services.
• Understanding of Military Supply Chain processes and inventory practices.
• Ability to obtain a government CAC and a Secret Security Clearance (as required).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Twelve (12) years of professional experience in supply chain/distribution.
• Sixteen (16) years' experience in a supervisor role.

Skills

• Strong collaborative, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft productivity suites.
• Five (5) years' experience working for DLA and/or working directly supporting a USG Repair Depot.
• Excellent relationship/interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with incomplete information and ambiguity.
• Industry knowledge of Aerospace & Defense supply chain.
