Job Summary
The Program Manager, Program Management Excellence (PMX), reports to the Director, Program Start Up Excellence. This role supports the mission of the PMX by providing hands-on project support services during the bid and proposal and planning phases to Project/Program Managers across the organization.
Responsibilities And Tasks
- Guiding teams through the proposal process for program start-up excellence.
- Implementing EVMS through consistent EVM processes and providing enterprise-level training.
- Conducting Risk Identification workshops and supporting Risk Management process implementation.
- Supporting Program Managers with understanding financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
- Auditing projects to ensure compliance with documented management plans and company standards.
- Aiding in the development and implementation of corrective action plans.
- Identifying and documenting best practices with opportunities for improvement in Elbit America's program management processes.
- Sharing lessons learned and best practices across programs, building relationships with stakeholders, and brokering relationships at all levels.
- Ensuring the implementation of workable, practical, and sustainable best practices and processes that enhance productivity.
- Providing coaching to Elbit America Program Managers.
- Collaborating with internal Elbit America organizations to identify common solutions.
- Executing approved plans.
Education, Experience & License Or Certification
- Master - Preferred
- Bachelor - Required
- High School - Required
- Preferred Degree Field: Engineering, Manufacturing, or equivalent Technical degree
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Leverage Lean 6 Sigma Green Belt Functional (Using Skill Set)
- Experience: 10+ years in Program Management, 8+ years in Industry
Skills And Abilities
- Experience managing programs over various phases of the product life cycle (pursuit through support and closure).
- Experience working in manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, etc.
- Understanding of industry trends and competitors' strategies, strengths, and weaknesses.
- Strong experience in the applicable technical area or product line.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Ability to create and maintain constructive customer relationships.
- Working knowledge of the defense acquisition process and DFARS.
- Knowledge of industry standard tools and ability to hold others accountable for Earned Value Management, Program Planning, Risk Management, Requirements Management.
- Strong experience in financial data analysis, including P&L statements, ROI analysis, and cash flow.
- High degree of business acumen.
- Exposure and working knowledge in Integrated Logistics Support.
- Experience in negotiation, collaborative problem solving, conflict management, meeting facilitation, and applying tact and diplomacy.
- Understanding of program documentation, requirements, expectations, and deliverables.
- Ability to clearly communicate ideas verbally and in writing.
- Ability to influence without authority.
