Job Responsibilities
- Provides professional market, competition, and priced trend analyses in support of the Director of Construction office mission.
- Manages data needed for the data analyses and performs comprehensive data analyses.
- Produces routine reports.
- Systematically assesses historical bid data to determine competitive markets for various types of highway projects, and to perform in-depth analysis of the competitive behavior of contractors within these markets on a biannual basis.
- Reports developed confidential information to the supervisor.
- Performs reviews of plans, proposals, and estimates of project before the highway letting for constructability issues and completeness.
- Reports results from the review to the supervisor.
- Affords assistance with the analysis of bid data received during highway lettings.
- Maintains confidentiality of information related to Engineer's estimate; assists with reports related the award of project in the highway letting.
- Develops and maintains policies for the Director Office as it relates to market, completion, and price trends.
- Proposes, develops, and maintains policies for the Director of Construction Office as it relates to market, competition, and price trend analyses.
- Develops and maintains ad-hoc queries of data from existing systems to support construction division in providing necessary reports and information requested by management.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
- A bachelor's degree and five (5) years of relevant program management experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence.
- A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
Physical Demands
- Sitting or standing at a desk for an extended periods.
- Working on a computer.
- Lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Working outside normal business hours.
