Responsibilities
- Oversee total Program Integration Management for multiple complex projects and major systems, focusing on customer relationships, cost, schedule, and technical planning.
- Track and report on project status, technical execution, and overall program performance.
- Supervise program and project staff to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Lead proposal tasks from first customer interaction, including defining requirements, creating basis of estimates, negotiating, and securing contract awards.
- Participate in business resource planning and tracking in coordination with other corporate entities.
- Formulate and lead a team to fulfill program requirements.
- Identify, track, and resolve program issues and problems.
- Manage program risks by identifying, mitigating, tracking, and managing them.
- Conduct routine meetings and interface on project/program status.
- Develop proposals, conduct research and fact-finding, coordinate audits, and negotiate with project/program stakeholders to ensure initiatives meet cost, budget, and schedule constraints.
- Support the Program Director and Business Operations in fulfilling their responsibilities for the Business Area.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in project or program management in the Aerospace and Defense (A&D) industry.
- 3+ years leading medium scale projects; scope spanning 1-2 years, while leading teams made up of 5+ cross-functional team members.
- Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 12 years of related experience is required. Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Experience with the evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes.
- Experience with preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes.
- Experience with managing a complex project or larger program.
- Experience in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and literacy in the program management disciplines.
- Demonstrated financial acumen to ensure decisions are fiscally sound and responsible.
- Ability to execute coordination of all elements of a program, i.e., Program integration management, task coordination, resource development, stakeholder identification, etc.
- Capability to manage program lifecycle conflicts, prioritize competing priorities/requests, and evaluate available resources.
- Ability to identify, assess, and control financial, technical, and legal risks.
- Proficient leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews.
- Ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge the status quo, and adapt to dynamic situations.
- Current Active Secret Security Clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (will not be considered in lieu of required experience).
- Advanced degree in Business, Management, Engineering or related field (may be considered in lieu of 1 year of required project/program management experience).
- Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Working knowledge of Program Management Institute Program Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
- Managing projects using Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), agile, and/or spiral development models.
- Managing projects requiring Earned Value Management.
- Understanding of application tools and data architectures.
- Ability to reinforce the usage & application of Corporate PM tools.
- Ability to participate in program management (PM) process & tool improvement initiatives for the Business Area.
- Ability to keep program management informed of function & process changes within project controls.
- Ability to enhance program management expertise in the staff.
- Ability to establish new & further refine existing templates, tools, & guidelines for program documentation & execution.
- Experience with ensuring compliance with approved Corporate and ISO 9001:2000 Policies and Processes.

Pay
Estimated Starting Salary Range: $143,487.14 - $197,294.82. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, including candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
