Position Overview
This position supports the planning and completion of educational, outreach or professional programs; working with program staff, students, the public and/or agencies, to plan and oversee program activities. May lead a distinct area for the program such as outreach, assessment or financial management.
Duties
- Participate in the development and implementation of program deliverables, services and activities
- Coordinate a team with a variety array of talents and responsibilities
- Collect, compile and summarize program data for reports
- Participate in developing program operating goals, objectives and protocols
- Maintain program budgets, monitoring and reviewing transactions for compliance with program requirements
- Active participation in the development and submission of program proposals
- Lead collection and compilation of program assessment data
- May supervise the work of others or lead a team to accomplish assigned goals
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience
- Two years of program coordination or program management experience
- Working in a team environment to accomplish shared goals
- Collecting, compiling, summarizing and analyzing data for administrative reports
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree; four additional years of experience in program coordination (for a total of six years) may substitute for a Bachelor’s Degree
Required Other
- Ability to obtain membership in appropriate professional organizations
- Ability to travel and to work selected evenings and/or weekends
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, General Studies, Communication or related field
- Master’s Degree in Education, General Studies, Communications or related field
- Working with high school students in a mentorship capacity
- Experience with student outreach and support
- Working collaboratively and independently and accurately on detailed tasks
- Experience maintaining organizational skills including the ability to prioritize activities and flexibility to adjust priorities as circumstances dictate
- Project or program management
- Supervising the work of others
- Processing financial transactions
- Collecting data and compiling routine management reports
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Ability to lift, carry or otherwise move up to 20 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods of time

- Degree Requirement Listed degree qualification is required at time of application

- Pay Range: $28.34 per hour or higher depending on education and experience
