About the role

The Program Manager, Housing Services at Avivo works with a commitment to clients, embracing their full person and believing in the dignity of all people. This role bridges transitional recovery lodging for adults and families in recovery from substance use, offering stability and support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and day-to-day oversight of Transitional Recovery Lodging, ensuring services are person-centered, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and aligned with Housing First and harm-reduction principles.
  • Serve as a supervisor, coach, and developer of Program and Client Support Specialists, fostering a strong, accountable, and supportive team culture.
  • Ensure 24-hour program coverage and operational continuity, including participation in an on-call rotation and providing direct support during urgent situations.
  • Support participants throughout their stay and during successful transitions upon exit, including planning for housing, employment, education, and community connections.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain program policies, procedures, and documentation in collaboration with leadership.
  • Track, analyze, and report program outcomes, compliance requirements, and performance metrics using electronic health records and internal systems.
  • Manage housing rosters, participant communications related to violations or move-outs, and Emotional Support Animal (ESA) documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, funders, and internal teams to enhance coordination and participant access to services.
  • Participate in budgeting, contract monitoring, and funding compliance, communicating risks or changes to leadership.
  • Advance Avivo's commitment to undoing racism and reducing disparities by leading culturally responsive, inclusive practices and supporting team development in these areas.

Qualifications

  • Required: Associate degree + 3 years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree + 2 years of experience in human services or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a behavioral health or housing-related setting.
  • Experience with or a strong commitment to learning harm reduction, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented services.
  • Experience using electronic health records and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Helpful: Experience in community mental health or co-occurring disorders settings, programs serving individuals with dual diagnoses and histories of homelessness, and operations or program management in behavioral health or supportive housing.

Pay

Full-time, exempt role with a 32-hour workweek, supporting strong work-life balance. Typically Monday-Friday, daytime hours, with flexibility to meet program needs. Occasional evenings/weekends and participation in an on-call rotation may be required.
