Program Manager - Damar

About the Role

The Program Manager 2 serves as a critical liaison between customers and internal personnel in all aspects of the Company’s projects. This role exercises a high degree of independent judgment, discretion, and authority in planning, managing, and controlling production orders at all stages, assessing business implications, and ensuring compliance with the Company’s standards for deadlines, work standards, and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Handle and manage the Company’s communication with assigned customers, resolving emergent situations with discretion, including those outside normal business hours.
• Develop and conduct high-level program reviews for customers.
• Create recovery actions for products not currently meeting customers’ demands.
• Formulate and implement the Company’s responses to engineering change requests to optimize cost recovery.
• Negotiate with customers on behalf of the Company regarding spares pricing, order lead time, and expediting charges.
• Use industry expertise to forecast future demand and manage shipping date estimates.
• Follow all Company safety guidelines, including proper use of safety equipment and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proven ability to coordinate and communicate clearly in fast-paced environments with intense deadlines and fluctuating workloads.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work successfully with minimal direction or supervision.
• Exhibits and demands high ethical standards in relations with personnel, suppliers, and customers.
• Successfully maintained 12 consecutive months in a tier 1 program management position or equivalent (manager discretion).
• Aerospace manufacturing experience.
• Due to U.S. export control laws, candidate must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected status under asylum/refugee status).

Qualifications

• Preferred: Three to five years’ experience in Production Control, Materials, or Inventory Management in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strive to achieve 100% on-time delivery to customer purchase orders.
• Collaborates with other departments to meet customer specifications and timelines.
• Able to create status information such as Gantt charts, S-curves, and stoplight charts, with proficiency in MS Project and Excel.
• Ability to work as a program manager with limited supervision.
• Program Management certification (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field, or equivalent years of experience in an applicable field.
• Familiarity with Syteline or similar MRP systems.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Use of computer keyboard, mouse, and multiline phone throughout the workday.
• Primarily office-based, with occasional entry into the warehouse and/or machine shop environment, which may include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, or vapor from coolant.
• Industry-standard safety equipment is provided, and required safety training is conducted in accordance with law, industry standards, and Company policy.
• Occasional overnight travel within the U.S. and internationally.

Pay

$73,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually.
