Program Manager Clinical Research

About the role

The Program Manager of Clinical Research will oversee and manage the administration, oversight, and implementation of clinical research projects, data collection activities, and clinical operations for assigned research programs. This role involves coordinating project activities, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Directs, organizes, and plans daily research operational activities and supports staff to manage and grow research activities.
• Serves as the primary liaison for internal and external project sponsors, regularly updating stakeholders on project plans, status updates, and milestones.
• Manages program budget, working with Research Administration to handle transactional tasks such as sponsor invoicing, patient financial billing, and time and effort reporting.
• Acts as the program fiscal steward, promoting and growing the research portfolio through public relations, web-based activities, newsletters, and social media.
• Leverages clinical expertise in the assigned area to facilitate research activities, including coordination of grant submissions and sponsored clinical trials.
• Facilitates site selection processes, initiates studies, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and local policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, preferably in Nursing.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in related fields.
• Three (3) years of management experience.
• Arizona Registered Nurse license.
• CCRA certification.

Preferred

• Masters degree in healthcare-related or business field.
• ACRP Certified Clinical Research Coordinator or Certified Clinical Research Professional certification within 12 months.
