About the Role

The Cancer and Well-being Research Program (CARE) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital is recruiting a full-time Clinical Research Program Manager to join its multidisciplinary team. The program manager will work closely with the principal investigator in collaboration with a diverse group of researchers (oncologists, palliative care clinicians, psychiatrists, psychologists) to oversee the day-to-day administration of program activities. The role involves contributing to the development of study protocols and procedures, and the preparation and submission of research manuscripts, abstracts, and grant applications. Responsibilities also include hiring and onboarding new staff, maintaining a working knowledge of clinical research conduct, and supporting study-related activities and initiatives across the program locally and nationally.

Qualifications

  • Education: BA/BS degree required; Master’s degree or PhD preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of research experience preferred; Minimum of 2 years of management experience required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Collaborate with the principal investigator to oversee all laboratory projects
  • Assist with grant submissions, including summarizing instructions, assisting with writing proposals, developing templates, and collecting documentation
  • Assist with manuscript preparation, including literature reviews, outlining methods and findings, and editing
  • Assist with abstract and presentation submissions for conferences
  • Write protocols for CARE studies, including IRB applications, informed consent documents, and project timelines
  • Develop standard operating procedures and templates to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Oversee IRB communications and monitor clinical trial progression against milestones
  • Manage multi-site trial procedures, compliance, and communication
  • Oversee data collection for accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and processes with Data Safety and Monitoring Boards
  • Act as the point of contact for CARE members, providing guidance and interpreting policies
  • Maintain training records, email distribution lists, and manage meeting schedules
  • Support activities for CARE donors, including Patient Advisory Councils
  • Manage the program website, study email accounts, and respond to inquiries
  • Submit study team reimbursements

Pay

$78,936.00 - $128,928.80/Annual (Grade 8)
