About the role
CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills (CSRH-WH) is a 253-bed hospital serving the fastest-growing area of San Antonio. The hospital is seeking a professional to oversee the planning and overall clinical operations of the bariatric program.
Responsibilities
- Plan and overall operation of the bariatric program
- Manage ongoing clinical data analysis, program development, and implementation of processes to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of the bariatric program
- Facilitate and lead patient seminars and staff education
- Take initiative and meet objectives with minimal supervision
- Plan and manage the efficient and effective utilization of resources
- Project a professional image in appearance and attitude
- Participate in activities that market the Bariatric program
- Review marketing materials for accuracy and develop marketing materials to support the Bariatric program
- Manage and coordinate assigned staff in a consistent manner
- Participate in recruiting, hiring, orientation, development/training, evaluation, and discipline of assigned staff
- Optimize patient flow and maximize provider productivity while ensuring quality patient care
- Identify, analyze, and resolve workflow/process problems with regard to the bariatric program
- Review patient files to ensure insurance plans criteria for bariatric surgery are met
- Manage bariatric case files and submit documentation to insurance companies for authorization
- Ensure office staff has current bariatric benefit policies for various insurance plans
- Provide patient dietetic consulting as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a Related Field (Preferred)
- Three years of current experience in the area of bariatrics (strongly preferred)
- High level of interpersonal/communication skills to promote team approach
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- Registered Nurse or Registered Dietician (Preferred)

5 Days - 8 Hours, Full Time
