Responsibilities

  • Generate, manage, and coordinate comprehensive program plans, schedules, budgets, and technical performance for SBIR programs.
  • Provide leadership and direction to engineering, design, and production teams for program deliverables.
  • Set and continuously manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of program performance by maintaining awareness of technical product performance requirements and enforcing disciplined concept and design reviews to demonstrate compliance.
  • Ensure technical performance diligence is flowed down to sub-contractors and suppliers, and validate sourced sub-assemblies and critical parts.
  • Interact regularly with customer program stakeholders to provide status and understand requirements and expectations; manage the customer relationship.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, assess risks, and build contingencies into program plans.
  • Work closely with SBIR engineering, procurement, production, quality departments, and vendors to ensure work plans and resource allocation support program goals.
  • Support proposal efforts by providing costing, schedules, estimated labor (in concert with vendors and engineering), technical proposal writing and editing, and participation in kickoff meetings, TIMs, and CDRs.
  • Manage multiple programs (5 to 10) totaling $10 to $15 million in annual revenue.
  • Make programmatic decisions when presented with conflicting or incomplete information from technical staff; manage technical risks.
  • Work with the Accounting department to maintain ETCs, EACs, and spend plans.
  • Stay in sync with the Finance department on spending and on-contract labor execution to facilitate accurate P&L forecasting for CPFF and Percent-Complete contracts.
  • Provide monthly program updates to senior management.
