Program Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Report to the Independence Tooling Operations Manager
• Monitor, direct, and control manufacturing programs
• Lead in the areas of cost, schedule, and performance
• Direct a focused program, including strategic planning, analyzing program activities, expenses, and profits, and establishing goals
• Plan and direct a group of individuals, monitoring their work and taking corrective actions when necessary
• Create a robust process for the identification, management, and mitigation of risk

Qualifications

• Knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques
• 2+ years experience with automotive and/or aerospace fixtures required
• Knowledge of machining, tool build, welding and CMM processes in regards to timing, milestones, and deadlines
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office programs
• Understanding of the wider objectives of the program
• The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
• The ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program management
• Strong leadership and people skills
• A strong management discipline and communication skills
• Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
• Strong negotiation skills
• Experience leading/following manufacturing projects
• Willingness to travel as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Estimating experience preferred
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Project
