Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of a residential substance use disorder treatment program.
  • Lead, mentor, and support multidisciplinary staff while fostering accountability and teamwork.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, county, licensing, and accreditation requirements.
  • Monitor program quality, documentation, audits, and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with clinical, medical, and nursing leadership to ensure high-quality client care.
  • Oversee client admissions, treatment coordination, medication documentation, and service delivery.
  • Support staff recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
  • Build relationships with referral partners and community organizations to support program growth.
  • Respond to client and operational issues while ensuring a safe, structured treatment environment.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to ongoing program development and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • CADC or LAADC certification required.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Behavioral Health, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of leadership experience within residential substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, or addiction recovery programs.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising staff and managing day-to-day program operations.
  • Strong knowledge of residential treatment regulations, licensing requirements, quality assurance, and compliance standards.
  • Experience supporting 12-step or recovery-based treatment models preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to successfully complete background screening, drug screening, and annual TB testing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a residential or private-pay treatment environment.
  • Knowledge of insurance authorizations, utilization review, and reimbursement processes.
  • Passion for supporting individuals in recovery and creating a positive, therapeutic culture.

COMPENSATION & LOCATION

This opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $100,000-$120,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical insurance, life insurance, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a retirement plan, paid holidays, paid vacation, paid sick leave, workers' compensation coverage, and eligibility for California Paid Family Leave.
