About the role
The Program Manager will lead strategic industrial Programs. The Program Manager is responsible for achieving Program objectives, working closely with the Program Sponsor and Program Management Team to define objectives, create Program plans, and execute the plan. The role requires a working knowledge of the technical and organizational environments in which the Program deliverables are created and used. The Program Manager must be an excellent communicator at all levels, proactive, exhibit strong leadership qualities, be able to influence, and adapt to a dynamic and potentially geographically dispersed Program environment.
Responsibilities
- Meet the scope, schedule, resource and budget commitments reflected in the Program Management Plan.
- Lead the Program management team in developing and managing the Program Management Plan within the constraints established and approved by the Program Sponsor.
- Implement and enforce change control over Program scope, schedule, resources and budget.
- Negotiate with functional managers and/or organizational management to obtain adequate resources with appropriate skills to staff the Program team.
- Manage the timely resolution of issues, including the escalation of issues that are outside of the Program team’s scope of responsibility.
- Continually identify and proactively manage Program risks & issues, ensure execution of corrective action plans up to closure.
- Monitor the Program and report the Program status to management on a regular basis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering; Master’s is a plus.
- At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
- Strong understanding of finance and cost accounting.
- Fluent English.
- At least three years of Program management experience (as team member or leader, with good understanding of Program management).
- Leadership skills: Communicator, Organizer, Influential, Action Planner, Self Motivated, Implementer.
- Experience with metering preferred.
- Willing to travel 50% domestic and international.
