Program Manager
About the role
Waukesha Metal Products is seeking a Program Manager to oversee customer programs from concept through production while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain customer relationships
- Provide engineering and program launch support
- Cook up and supervise the research, design and construction of tools, fixtures, dies, gages and other tooling
- Lead APQP process for new customer programs
- Review performance against operating plan, standards and budgets
- Develop budgets and objectives
- Development and implement productivity and cost-down improvement plans
- Facilitate team development activities
- Prepare quotes as required, supplying customers with costs and lead times for tooling and manufactured parts
- Provide customer support
- Follow all company policies and procedures as applicable to position
- Understand and follow health, safety, security, quality, and environmental practices as required for IATF, 19649/ISO 9001:2015
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred
- 5+ years of related manufacturing or program management experience. Equivalent experience as a Tool & Die Maker or other relevant manufacturing experience may be considered
- Experience leading projects or cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment
- Strong customer relationship and communication skills
- Experience managing new product launches and manufacturing programs
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and 3D models
- Familiarity with measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project

Pay
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 annually.
Schedule
This position is primarily office-based but requires regular interaction within a manufacturing environment. Candidates should be comfortable working around production equipment and wearing required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
