What You’ll Do
- Own day-to-day execution of one or more technical programs, ensuring cross-functional alignment across engineering, operations, and leadership.
- Develop and maintain clear program plans including schedules, milestones, risks, and action tracking.
- Cook up and oversee integration of deliverables from hardware, software, and mission operations teams.
- Spot potential risks early, craft mitigation strategies, and escalate issues with clear recommendations.
- Partner with senior program leadership and functional leads to execute the roadmap.
- Keep dashboards, status reports, and decision logs updated to maintain transparency and accountability.
- Ownership & execution focus: You take responsibility for outcomes, not just tracking tasks. You follow through and close loops.
- Strong communicator: You can effectively manage across functions and communicate clearly up to leadership.
- Structured thinker: You create clarity from ambiguity and keep teams organized in fast-paced environments.
- Tech-savvy: You are comfortable in technical discussions, ask thoughtful questions, and can understand system-level tradeoffs.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience
- 4+ years leading complex, technical programs
- Experience in space, aerospace/defense, robotics, or other deep-tech systems, preferably in new-space or modern technology companies rather than traditional defense primes
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments.
- Exposure to hardware and software development lifecycles.
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams with tight deadlines.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Your base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
- The anticipated salary range for this role is $120,000 - $160,000 annually.
- Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at Katalyst. You will also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of the Employee Stock Option and Equity Plan, as well as a relocation bonus and other discretionary bonuses.
