About the role
Advise senior leadership on strategic planning, policy development, and long-range goals for cybersecurity initiatives.
Develop and implement comprehensive policy frameworks for cyber training operations, ensuring compliance with federal standards.
Lead the execution of strategic plans to align with broader agency and national security objectives.
Serve as the primary expert on complex cybersecurity issues, providing definitive guidance to senior leaders and stakeholders.
Represent the organization and provide authoritative advice at senior-level forums.
Make critical decisions on policy interpretation and implementation that have a significant impact on all Cyber Training Range programs.
Ensure the organization has the necessary authorities and resource partners to evolve and achieve a cohesive vision for Cyber Training Ranges.
Responsibilities
- Define or execute long-range strategic plans or policy frameworks for large-scale cyber capabilities, relating to cyber training.
- Direct or supervise multiple interconnected, multi-million dollar cybersecurity programs.
- Manage/contribute to multi-million dollar operational budget formulation or implementation.
- Serve as a primary external representative in high-level interagency forums or negotiate formal Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs) with Combatant Commands, Services, or senior industry partners.
Requirements
Conditions of employment:
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/period may be required.
- The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance as a condition of employment and must complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph exam.
- The incumbent must meet NSA personnel security requirements outlined in NSA/CSS Policy 5-1.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military and/or commercial aircraft up to 25% of the time.
- The incumbent may be recalled to duty, may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, and may be required to work overtime.
- This is a Drug Testing Designated Position. This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.
Qualifications
Experience:
- One-year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.
