Responsibilities
- Administrative and programmatic leadership of multi-disciplinary contract program support for US Navy maintenance, modernization and in-service engineering tasking related to shipboard hull, mechanical, and electrical systems and equipment
- Technical project/program management
- Task planning
- Hiring/Staffing
- Scheduling
- This may include limited travel to witness/observe/participate in testing or tasking onboard US Navy ships
- Contract/Task Instruction/Delivery Order management
- Financial management / Cost Control
- Subcontract management
- Personnel Management including supervision
- Stakeholder/Customer Management, Program Reviews and Communication
- Change and Risk Management
- Quality/Deliverable Management
- Reviews of Contract Data Requirements, technical/status reports and invoices
- Ensure deliverables are of high quality and are delivered on time
- Internal and External reporting
- Business Development Efforts & Capture Management
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or technical degree or equivalent
- MS in a technical or managerial discipline a plus
- Active Secret Level Security Clearance
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or DAWIA Level III in Program Management a plus
- 10 years DoD/Navy program management, Government technical management, or industry business management
- Experience in management of engineering projects involving maintenance, repair, test, product improvement, or alteration of naval ship Hull, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic Systems and Equipment
- Understanding of Navy Contracts
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Detailed oriented
Qualifications
- Subject Matter Expertise in a Navy ship Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical system is a plus
- Ability to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes
- Ability to work on and climb ladders, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces
