Position Overview We are looking for someone who wants to be part of making their community healthier, connected and genuinely invested in the lives of the youth they serve. FLIPANY serves youth, adults, and seniors across South Florida through four core areas of work: out-of-school meal programs (Afterschool Meal Program and Summer BreakSpot), senior meal programs, food pantries, and hands-on wellness and nutrition education delivered directly in the community. These include nutrition education and interactive, hands-on food and wellness activities. This position works directly with our community partners throughout Palm Beach County, including schools, after-school centers, community centers, and city-run sites. This position manages contract deliverables and directly oversees the Program Coordinator. Together, the two roles are responsible for delivering 400 nutrition education sessions in Palm Beach County. In addition to classroom instruction, this role carries responsibility for funder compliance, budget tracking, and day-to-day supervision of program staff. This role is ideal for a passionate individual who wants to mentor youth directly through social-emotional learning activities and wellness experiences that promote healthy lifestyle habits, while also building and leading the team that delivers this work. Minimum Qualifications At least 2 years of experience working with groups of children, with a genuine passion for youth development.Background in Child Development/Behavior, Psychology, or other Social Sciences through education or hands-on experience.Valid Florida Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to program sites.Experience managing grant-funded or fee-for-service contracts, including deliverables and compliance requirements.Prior experience supervising staff or contractors. Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities A personal commitment to health and wellness, and the ability to model and communicate its value to youth and families in an authentic wayHighly organized and detail-oriented, with strong administrative and time management skills.A natural relationship builder who collaborates effectively with youth, site staff, and partner agencies with a people-first approach.Calm and adaptable under pressure, maintaining professionalism when unexpected situations arise.Comfortable with technology (iPad, mifi), completing real-time tasks including documentation, surveys, and photo uploads efficiently in a field setting.Accountable and reliable, managing multiple responsibilities and consistently meeting deadlines.Available for occasional evenings and weekends for community outreach or fundraising events.Skilled in contract management, with the ability to track deliverables, budgets, and timelines across multiple sites.Skilled in coaching and supervising staff, delegating responsibilities, and holding a team accountable to shared targets. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day delivery of assigned contracts, including scheduling, deliverable tracking, and progress toward a committed target of 400 sessions in Palm Beach County, delivered jointly with the Program Coordinator.Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related questions from funders and partner sites.Coordinate with Finance and the Senior Program Manager on budget tracking, invoicing timelines, and contract renewals.Flag delivery risks or deferrals early so scheduling and staffing can adjust.Directly manage and support the Program Coordinator's teaching schedule and workload, ensuring shared session targets stay on track.Provide feedback and coaching to the Program Coordinator and any additional instructors, contractors, or staff.Lead team meetings and conduct individual supervision as needed.Delegate responsibilities, ensure adherence to systems, and promote accountability across the team.Deliver in-person wellness and nutrition education classes to groups of 15–20 youth, following FLIPANY's program guidelines and curriculum.Arrive prepared for each class with all materials, supplies, and equipment packed and ready, handling setup and cleanup at the site for each session.Guide youth through hands-on activities including healthy cooking using tools such as blenders and skillets, gardening, nutrition education.Maintain a positive and structured learning environment throughout each session, addressing behavioral challenges as they arise.Plan for each class by reviewing curriculum, ordering supplies, and confirming site details and scheduling in advance.Complete real-time class documentation including attendance, surveys, and photo uploads using a FLIPANY-issued tablet.Maintain accurate mileage reports for all program-related travel.Communicate proactively with site staff to ensure sessions run smoothly, build strong relationships with partner organizations, and ensure sites uphold program agreements.Report back to the FLIPANY team on class progress, site issues, and cohort updates in a timely manner.Maintain knowledge of FLIPANY's programs and services in order to connect youth, families, and site staff to additional resources and opportunities.Support and supervise volunteers, interns, or AmeriCorps members assigned to assist in class delivery.Participate in required training, curriculum review, and ongoing professional development as directedMonitoring programs, conduct site visits, and ensure compliance with Federal Food program regulations. Physical Requirements Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Exposure to extreme temperatures, extreme sunlight, noise, heights, dirt, dust and potentially hazardous chemicals is common. Work may be performed on uneven surfaces. While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee must be able to lift, carry and/or push articles weighing up to 50 lbs. The employee is frequently required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, stand, walk, sit and reach with hands and arms. Must have use of hands to finger, handle or feel and/or operate objects, tools or controls. Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of telephone and personal contact. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English. Must have the ability to see, read, talk and hear. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of equipment; such as but not limited to a personal computer, calculator, copy machine and fax machine.
