Program Manager

About the role

Manages programs with multiple projects, phases, or work streams with the support of additional project teams. Will have Project Managers reporting up within a matrix reporting structure. Responsible for managing the overall execution of multiple new, fast-paced, diverse, critical programs from project initiation and business case development through implementation, primarily focusing on quality, cost, and schedule.

These programs involve significant return and risk to the company, have approved budgets (IT and business combined), include multiple functions/departments, involve major IT efforts, impact agents and customers (directly or indirectly), and contain complex business, legal, or regulatory issues. This position requires daily interaction with executives, focusing primarily on facilitating issue resolution and timely decision-making. Additionally, interaction with personnel in all areas of the company is required.

Responsibilities

• Integrates all team members and departments to ensure cooperation and collaboration, executing the program while minimizing conflicts and fostering teamwork.
• Forms project teams, including defining their reporting/organizational structure, roles, and responsibilities for each team member.
• Develops and constructs project plans, including task lists, Gantt charts, and other necessary planning documents that are actionable, reasonable, and professionally presented.
• Manages the scope, schedule, and budget of the project, limiting unnecessary change and expansion of scope that may affect each.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience.
• PMP/PgMP certification.
• 9+ years' experience in a project management environment.
• Proficiency in project or equivalent project management software and MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Experience managing project teams in a matrix organization reporting structure.

Workplace

Hybrid/Remote depending on candidate location. Our hybrid work environment combines flexibility in a virtual setting with in-person collaboration, requiring at least three (3) days in the office and up to two (2) days virtual for employees who live within fifty (50) miles of a Farmers corporate office. Applicants beyond fifty (50) miles may still be considered.

• HI/IL/MN/VT Only: $108,375 - $181,060
• MA Only: $108,375 - $181,060
• MD & VA: $108,375 - $181,060
• DC/NJ/NY/OH Only: $108,375 - $196,130
• Albany County, NY/Cleveland, OH: $115,275 - $169,070
• WA Only: $108,375 - $205,750
