Program Manager
or drop it. "# of Positions: 1" is minor metadata; could be dropped or placed in a p. Also "Department Information Utility Audits, Risk & Compliance(UARCD)/Utility Audits Branch (UAB) Department Website: http://www.cpuc.ca.gov". That's substantive about department. We need to decide sections. Potential sections: - About the role (paragraph from job description) - Responsibilities (bullet list of duties) - Requirements (bullet list: valid CA Drivers License, travel required, communication skills, analytical abilities, ability to work independently/team, coordinate multiple projects, incorporate DEI, etc.) - Qualifications (maybe not needed) - Pay (salary range, note about PLP, new hires at minimum) - Schedule/Location (Work Location: Sacramento County, Telework: Hybrid, Job Type: Permanent, Full Time) - Department (maybe as part of About the role? Could be separate section "Department Information"). We must not create sections with filler text. Ensure each heading has substantive content. Let's extract duties list: From paragraph: "The PM provides leadership within the Division by establishing strategic direction for Program and Project Supervisors, as well as analysts. The PM coordinates the Branch's work with other Branches, Sections, and Commission divisions, as needed, and actively participates as a member of UARCD's management team. The PM's primary responsibilities include providing leadership and strategic direction for Branch activities; directing Branch operations, including determining staffing needs and resource allocation; reviewing work products to ensure quality and consistency with established policies and procedures; overseeing staff development and performance management, including training, hiring, promotions, performance evaluations, and discipline; and performing general administrative duties for the Branch and the Division. The incumbent will incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into policy and procedure analysis, stakeholder engagement, and internal processes. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. The incumbent must also be able to coordinate and participate in multiple projects simultaneously. Travel is required for this position." We can turn these into bullet list. Requirements: Special Requirements: valid CA Drivers License (CDL) with details. Also maybe "You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application. Ensure you provide your CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions." That's a requirement. Also maybe "Prepare and submit a response for each question below." That's application instruction, remove. Also "The SOQ should provide specific details and examples that clearly demonstrate how your training, experience, and education qualifies you for the position." That's instruction. Also "Applicants who do not submit a completed SOQ and writing that exceeds the page limit will not be considered or scored." That's instruction. Also "All information in the SOQ is subject to verification." instruction. Also "The SOQ must be no smaller than 11-point Arial font, single-spaced, and no more than two pages." instruction. Also "Please number your responses in the same order as the questions are listed,(1- 3). Provide separate responses for each of the three questions." instruction. Also "For helpful guidance on writing an effective SOQ, please see the Work4CA guide." instruction. Also "It is strongly encouraged to apply through your CalCareer Account at www.jobs.ca.gov Electronic applications submitted through your CalCareer Account are highly recommended and will be received/processed faster than other methods of filing." instruction. Also "If you are using education to meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must submit a copy of your transcript or diploma. An official transcript will be required prior to appointment." instruction. Also "Applicants who completed their education outside the United States (with foreign degrees/transcripts) must obtain and submit verification of United States course/degree equivalency by the application deadline." instruction. Also "Foreign education credential evaluation services can be found at https://www.naces.org" instruction. Also "Employment information on the STD 678 State Application MUST be complete with dates, duties and responsibilities, and contact names and phone numbers of supervisors. Resumes, or referring to resumes, will not be accepted in place of the completed STD 678. Applicants who fail to submit a completed STD 678 will not be considered." instruction. Also "Only the most qualified candidates will be invited to an interview." instruction. Also "Per CCR 249.3, this job control may be used to fill subsequent vacancies." maybe minor. Also "Who May Apply ..." that's eligibility; could be considered substantive? It's about who may apply; maybe we can keep as a short paragraph under "Eligibility". But instruction says remove application instructions; eligibility might be considered part of application instructions? It's about who may apply; maybe we keep as it's substantive about eligibility. However it's somewhat boilerplate but could be kept. The instruction says remove application instructions; eligibility is not exactly instruction but description of who may apply. Might be okay to keep as a short paragraph. But we need to be careful not to include too much boilerplate. The instruction: "Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions." So eligibility could be considered application instructions? It's about who may apply; but it's not exactly instruction on how to apply, but rather eligibility criteria. Might be okay to keep as a short paragraph under "Eligibility". However we already have Requirements section; eligibility could be part of Requirements. Given complexity, I think we can include a short paragraph under "About the role" that includes eligibility? Not needed. Better to keep sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Pay, Schedule/Location, Department. Now we need to ensure we don't repeat job title as heading. We'll output HTML fragment:
